A few years ago we obtained seed via Japan from a named clone of plamata. None of the resulting seedlings have resembled the parent, but all have had a very different feel than the palmata we had grown to that point, with really broad leaf segments to the large foliage, reminiscent of their Ligularia cousins. These are divisions of one of the clones, which we’re unlikely to propagate again.
