Ed orgiginally aquired the white flowering form of this plant in England as Serratula bulgarica, and we remain confused as to the correct name—this reflects current thinking, but our money is on Cirsum. Under any name, a remarkably effective perennial, with bold basal foliage and 4-6’ stems in mid-late summer. These plants have very Cirsium like mauvey-purple flowers. Tough and adaptable.
