Apodasmia similis) Beautiful bit of Restio esoterica from New Zealand. Silver grey, with prominently banded joints on stems to 15”. Quite vigorous, with a running habit on strong rhizomes. Especially easy in sun grown as an aquatic to semi aquatic (plenty of water) and no fertilizer, but it is quite tolerant of a wide range of conditions. It occurs on the North and South Islands and so is also quite cold tolerant. The clone we have seems hardy to 7b or so, but we use to great effect in containers. Quart pot.
