A selection from Japan that used to be popular for cut stems, and not that many years ago was an expensive rarity here, with single rhizomes selling for $100. It’s distinguished by prominent white splashes through the middle of the foliage, with contrasting dark stem, and this is especially true as plants mature and seemingly with exposure to some direct, non prime-tanning hours light.
