We’ve been unofficially doing mail order for some time, and have always intended to make the practice more accessible, but have been on the far side of the learning curve, as, in addition to our seasonal retail/plant show schedule, it becomes a bit like having a multiple personality disorder: growing the same plants on two different schedules, nearly as two different crops, in two different sizes, often with two different rounds of propagation. To resolve this, the plants we offer for mail order are those that are happenstantially of conveniently ship-able size.  As we propagate plants in house, it is impossible for us to have all plants in stock at the same time; we are constantly updating and adding to our offerings as plants become available. Please send restocking and availability inquiries to ed@issimaworks.com or taylor@issimaworks.com, and please sign up for our email list to be notified of updates.

SHIPPING: We regret that we are unable to ship to FL, HI, or any state west of the Mississippi River as it would require a chemical regimen that may prove harmful to us, Ed's children, and our 4 legged colleagues.

-All shipping will be via UPS Ground. We are happy to arrange shipping via USPS Priority if notified. We ship plants primarily on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with the aim of having packages arrive no later than Friday.  If you have a preferred ship date, please indicate in the space provided at checkout and we will do our best to accommodate your request. We reserve the right to cancel or modify shipping dates based on weather conditions and we request you limit your future ship date to within 90 days of your order.

-Given the global rise in shipping costs, relative plant sizes (eg cut back stems), and the ease of moving around in our post-vaccination world, our shipping pricing scheme is seasonally dependent. For instance, our Spring ‘23 shipping formula works out to a $14 base fee with a $1.00 fee for each item in your order. For our final update of the year, as most plants are dormant, we offer pricing based on weight. We don’t want to penalize those of you ordering fewer plants, and ideally we break even on shipping larger orders. Be assured that with rising fuel & box prices, we won’t be making any money on shipping and thank you for your understanding as we try to avoid overcharging or undercharging for mail order! If for any reason your shipping charges are grossly overestimated, we will be in touch about a refund once your order has been processed.

POT SIZES:  Federal law requires us to state pot sizes. Of course there’s no necessary relationship between pot size and plant size- large pots can house very small plants- but please know that, as with our on the road sales, portability is our primary requirement, sales our general aim, and therefore we generally try to grow large plants in small pots. In spring some plants may be fresh divisions that have not yet filled out their containers, but they’re healthy, and ready to take off for you. Some plants, too, are simply naturally smaller.
