Louis Bauer kindly shared cuttings of this plant 25 years ago from a specimen in the dry garden at Wave Hill, but we have re-esablished it courtesy of Harnek Singh from what I suspect is the original plant. Sometimes lumped in with S. officinalis, but the Spanish sage does come “true” from seed, and is readily distinguished by its narrower foliage and somewhat smaller overall size. Best with sharp drainage and full sun. Generally thought of as zone 7, but given its longevity at Wave Hill we’re not so sure. Quart pot
